With the growing popularity in food truck vending. The safety of you and our residents is important. In order to operate in the City of Vineland, you will need to complete a Vendor Permit Application (Click Here for a copy) and return it to our office located at 400 W. Plum Street Vineland NJ 08360, 3 business days prior to each operational setup of your unit. Payments can be made by cash, check, or money order payable to the City of Vineland.
(2024-25) New NJ State regulations now require mobile or temporary food preparation activities, where open flame or flame-producing devices or appliances are used, or grease-laden vapors are produced, to apply for a permit every time they setup and or relocate. The Vineland Fire Department must follow the new State guidelines and fees.
Operators must also possess and renew this permit every time they relocate to a new location for each mobile food truck and/or tent or booth setup. You must also receive approvals from the Vineland Health Department and L & I Department for a peddler’s license
Please Note:
Inspector will conduct a fire safety inspection of the unit to verify that the life safety features comply with the State of NJ Uniform Fire Code, which you can review on the checklist. This includes but is not limited to the hood suppression system having a valid annual certification. A passing copy of the inspection report will need to be provided at time of the inspection application or emailed to fireprevention@vinelandcity.org.
Below are some of the new requirements to pass your inspection.
- An approved annual fuel gas piping inspection report will be required by an approved agency, to ensure that system components are free from damage, suitable for the intended service and not subject to leaking.
- A carbon monoxide and explosive gas detector is required in the vicinity of LP gas components. (for enclosed units)
